The Broncos who won their first game behind their offense, struggled Friday night at home losing to the Eagles 47-32. Brady Caswell led the Broncos with 11 points and Wes Woodard added nine.

Read moreThe Meadow girls’ basketball team was on the road Saturday morning and returned home with a 35-27 win over Motley County. The game started slow with Meadow (1-1) jumping out to an early 7-2 lead that it never relinquished. The second quarter saw the Lady Broncos hit a hot streak outscoring their opponent 12-6 to go into the half with a 19-8 lead. After the break, both teams found ways to score with Meadow and Motley County scoring 10-10, but the Lady Broncos led 29-18. Meadow dropped the fourth quarter losing 9-6, but it held on to get its first win of the young season.

That led to a Bi-District round appearance against Canadian, which the Cubs lost 70-59. That led to a change in coaching staff for the upcoming 2020-21 season with former Brownfield basketball champion Zayne McPherson and his staff of Richard Jackson and Kyle Carroll taking over.
