The Cubs fell to the Mustangs 15-3, and fall to 1-2 in District 3-3A. The Cubs will look to snap their two game losing streak when they go on the road Tuesday night against Littlefield and return home Saturday against Muleshoe.
Read moreThe Brownfield softball team hosted Denver City on Saturday, April 10 looking to win its second straight game after having a four-game winning streak snapped by Lamesa earlier in district play. The Lady Cubs picked up right where they left off in their last game, defeating the Fillies 21-0 to improve to 5-1 in District 3-3A. Brownfield will be on the road Tuesday, April 13 against Littlefield and at home on Saturday, April 17 against Muleshoe.

He worked on all six fields that will be used for baseball and softball. When asked why he does it, Dee responded "I do it for the kids."
Read moreAfter playing badly against and losing to Lamesa last week, the Brownfield softball team bounced back with a 21-2 win against Dimmitt. The game was originally scheduled to be played in Dimmitt but was changed and turned into a home game for the Lady Cubs, and after a slow start in the top of the first, the game turned completely in favor of the home team.
Read moreThe Brownfield baseball team hosted Lamesa in its district home opener on Friday, April 2 in what was a bizarre situation. The Cubs found themselves trailing 13-3 at the bottom of the seventh inning and staged an exciting comeback that tied the game at 13-13. Lamesa went on to score six runs in the top of the eighth to hand the Cubs a 19-13 loss.
Read moreThe Brownfield softball (3-1) team hosted Lamesa in a battle for first place in District 3-3A as each team came in with a perfect 3-0 record in district. The Lady Cubs jumped out to an early 4-1 lead but could not hold off the Lady Tornadoes as they went on to defeat Brownfield 9-5.
