Garcia is also graduating on Friday, May 27. Garcia played his final game and was the only senior to play in the Cubs final game of the season against Shallowater on Saturday, May 14.

Although The Cubs lost both games against the highly regarded Mustangs, they performed better than expected. The predicted score going into the first game of a possible 3 games series was 24-1. The Cubs had played Shallowater once previously and lost 28-1. Game 1 was not what anyone expected for the first 4 innings.

Gonzalez was an important part of the track team this year where she competed in 5 events. She made it to regionals in the 4x200 M Relay, 200 M Dash, Triple Jump, Long Jump, and the 4x400 M relay. Gonzalez on the hard work and feeling of being able to sign to continue her career, “It feels amazing it was a lot of hard work to get where I am now. The coaches are amazing, they really pushed me to be better.
