Joe Villarreal

Funeral service for Joe Villarreal Jr. were held at 2:00PM Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Abundant Harvest Church with Jerald Baldwin officiating. Burial followed in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. Family visitation was held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 16, 2020 at Brownfield Funeral Home. Joe Villarreal Jr. of Brownfield, TX entered into eternal life Novemer 11, 2020. He was born to Joe T. Villarreal Sr and the late Rebecca O. Villarreal on April 16, 1965 in Lamesa, Texas. He attended Brownfield schools. In his youthful years he could be seen rebuilding motors and hotrodding his GMC pickup with his friends and his mom sometimes. His favorite pastime was raising horses and teaching his grandchildren how to ride. He was a past member of the Terry County Sheriff’s Posse and loved volunteering during rodeo season. He will be remembered for his passion for entering BBQ cook-offs; a joy that he shared with his family on many occasions. Joe was the owner of J & B Paint & Body Shop where he continued the art in restoring cars. Joe is proceeded in death by his brother Larry, mother Rebecca O. Villarreal and grandson Jonah Lucio. Survivors left to cherish his memory are his father Joe T. Villarreal Sr., his loving wife Monica Warren, daughters Tessa Lucio (Johnny), Jo’Ana Davis (Roy), Monica Gamez (Kevin), son JoSeth Villarreal (Dariann Martinez), stepsons Roddy Warren (Lindsey), Ross Warren (Genesis), stepdaughter Rheagan Warren, sisters Flora Alvarado (Rudy) and Sandra Villarreal (Rick Rodriguez), Eleven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. “You may be gone from our sight, but never gone from our hearts.”

Hilda Bravo Vasquez

Hilda Bravo Vasquez 65, of Brownfield, TX, passed away on November 12, 2020, in Lubbock, TX. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, from 5pm to 8pm at Grace Funeral and Cremation Care Chapel in Brownfield. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2020, at 10am at Grace Funeral and Cremation Care Chapel in Brownfield, with interment to follow at Brownfield Cemetery. Pallbearers are Andrea Rodriquez, Nevaeh Rodriquez, Noel Garcia, Victor Vasquez, Israel Vasquez, Hector Hernandez, Andrew Vasquez and Zeke Savedra. Hilda was born in Tahoka, TX, on May 14, 1955, to Armando and Olivia Vasquez. Hilda was a life-long resident of Brownfield. Her favorite colors were yellow, green and blue. She loved to plant flowers of all types and colors. She loved to work in the yard as well. She also loved to collect bird houses of all types. Her other love was to witness the Bible as a Jehovah’s Witness, her faith was extraordinarily strong. Hilda worked as a dietician and later became a Certified Nursing Assistant who loved to work with the elderly. Her best friend was Oralia Espinoza. The two would do everything together. Hilda’s other passion was traveling. That quest took her to Switzerland, Germany, France, Jamaica, Belize, Cozumel, and Cancun as well as other parts of the United States. She is preceded in death by three grandchildren. Those left to cherish her memory are three sisters; Maricella Garcia, Sylvia Bautista, and Sally Castillo; three brothers, Ray Vasquez, Victor Vasquez and Armando Vasquez Jr. Also, six children, David Hernandez Jr. who gave her two grandchildren, Adriana Hernandez and Briana Hernandez; her second child, Joe Hernandez of Dallas, TX, third child, Chon Hector Hernandez who gave her four grandchildren, Haley Hernandez, Janessa Hernandez, Kamryn Hernandez and Willow Rose Hernandez; the fourth child, Christopher Shawn Hernandez of Dallas, TX; fifth child, Andrea Rodriquez (Frankie), together they have Angelica Rodriquez, Angel Rodriquez, Navaeh Rodriquez, Angelina Rodriquez, Frankie Rodriquez Junior, Victoria Rodriquez, Elizabeth Rodriquez, John Rodriquez and Sarah Rodriquez; sixth child Joshua Matthew Hernandez (Mercedes) Hernandez of Brownfield TX.

Doris Hungerford

Doris Hungerford, 83, beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Greatgrandmother, was called to her eternal resting place on November 13, 2020. She entered this world on April 11, 1937, in Brownfield, Tx born to Milam and Ruth Tuttle. Doris graduated from Brownfield High School. She married Bobby Glenn Hungerford April 20, 1957, in Brownfield. She was a seamstress and also worked as a bookkeeper at several of the gins in the area. Doris was a very strong Christian woman. She loved to read. Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Hungerford, and three siblings, Kenneth Tuttle, Charlene Acker, and Dean Patterson. She is survived by three children, LaConna Ingram, Bobby Joe Hungerford, Timothy D. Hungerford; four grandchildren, Derek Hungerford, Jordan Hungerford, Hunter Hungerford, Quentin Hodge; four great-grandchildren, Grim, Logan, Reagan, and Hailey Hungerford; and one brother, Jimmy Tuttle.

Luis Villarreal

Services for Luis Villarreal will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Brownfield Funeral Home with Jimmy Vela officiating. A family visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Brownfield Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 18, 2020. Luis passed away on November 15, 2020 in Lubbock. He was born on September 26, 1954 in Littlefield, TX to Juan and Margarita Villarreal. Luis married Sandra Luera on August 10, 1996. Luis was a loving husband, father and grandfather who he would do anything for. He loved his grandbabies so much he had them so spoiled. He loved his family, music, and the Lord. Luis was a very caring person who would do anything for anyone. Luis is preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Margarita Villarreal; two brothers, Ricky and John Villareal. Luis is survived by his wife Sandra Villarreal; daughter, Bianca Gamez and husband Travis; two sons, Isaiah Villarreal and girlfriend Alexis Ramirez, Joshua Villarreal; four grandchildren, Ayaan, Aceyn, Aaryn Gamez, Zaydan Villarreal; two sisters, Gloria Duran and husband Carloz of Earth, TX, Veronica Hernandez of Denver City; and several nieces and nephews.
