Biking across the USA tour stops at Cavalry Baptist Church

On Wednesday, Cavalry Baptist Church housed 15 bicyclists for the night and at the crack of dawn the following day the 15 riders headed towards New Mexico as they continued their route to San Diego. The riders were from the organization Apogee Adventures, a group that rides across the United States starting from the East Coast and ending at the West Coast.

Fearless Champion to visit Coleman Park

Kendrick Memorial Library’s 2021 summer reading program is excited to announce the Texas Tech Masked Rider is returning with Fearless Champion this Wednesday. They will both be at the Coleman Park Amphitheater at 10 a.m. This will be the Fearless Champion’s first visit as he could not make it with the Masked Rider on June 30 due to the rain.

Senior Center menu changes with high temperatures-The Brownfield Senior Center will be serving sandwiches, salads, and other types of food when the temperature is forecast to be 98 degrees and higher. When the temperature is predicted to be lower, then the Senior Center will serve what has been scheduled.

The Terry County Commissioners Court received the 2020 county audit from Bolinger, Segars, Gilbert & Moss, a Lubbock-based firm. The audit was presented to the court by Tyler Kennedy.

A 2012 Dodge Avenger

A 2012 Dodge Avenger and a 2006 Chrysler 300 were involved in a two vehicle collision at the intersection of 519 East Broadway on Friday, June 16. Both drivers and passengers were looked at by EMT but refused to be taken to the hospital. No injuries were reported.
