List of the Chamber of Commerce’s upcoming events

On Saturday, November 18th, the Chamber of Commerce will host their fourth annual Gobble Wobble Wine run. The Gobble Wobble Wine Run is a 5k that gives the runners an opportunity to taste wine from local wineries during the run. Contestants will start at the Farmhouse Vineyards The Armory and end with the award ceremony at Whitehouse Parker. Runners can register at the Brownfield Chamber of Commerce. There is a $25 registration fee that includes the wine and the T-shirt. Prizes will be awarded to the top three runners in the men’s and women’s divisions and the best Turkey costume.

Brownfield Animal Shelter offers tips for dog owners

The Brownfield Animal Shelter wanted to emphasize to the people living in the city of Brownfield that leashes are necessary when owning a dog. Many people do not understand that their dogs must be on a leash and chains are not viable substitutes for leashes. The Animal Shelter wanted to remind civilians that there are leash laws in town and dogs are not allowed to roam around the city. There has been a recent spike in calls for Animal Control due to people letting out their dogs to use the restroom and the dogs taking off. The chain is heavy on a dog’s neck and can cause pain to the animal.

The annual Trick or Treat Around the Square hosted by The Rotary Club, Brownfield Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Brownfield was held Friday, October 27th from 4:30-6:00.
