Accident claims the life of New Mexico Woman

A major traffic accident on Seagraves Highway claimed the life of one New Mexico woman on Tuesday afternoon. Around 4:22 p.m. first responders arrived at the scene of a two vehicle accident involving a semi-truck and a blue Ford SUV. The accident occured when the driver of the SUV, heading northbound on Seagraves HWY failed to notice the semitruck signaling a right hand turn onto Lamesa HWY, resulting in a collision with the back end of the semi trailer. The driver of the SUV was later pronounced deceased on scene, with the driver of the semitruck suffering no injuries.

USDA Improves, Strengthens Crop Insurance for Hemp Producers

In response to feedback received from the producers, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is improving crop insurance for hemp. USDA’s Risk Management Agency (RMA) is strengthening the hemp crop insurance policy by adding flexibilities around how producers work with processors as well as improving consistency with the most recent USDA hemp regulation.
