BARBARA DOLORES BRUNGARDT

A service to celebrate the life of Barbara Dolores Brungardt, 88 of Lubbock, is scheduled for 10:30 AM on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers, followed by a time of fellowship with family and friends. Barbara was born January 21, 1935, to Raymond and Dorothy (Mowry) Hamilton in Denver, CO. She married Elmer Brungardt on September 27, 1952, in Spokane, Washington.

After Elmer completed his tour of duty in the Air Force, they moved to Denver, Colorado to raise their family. In 1993, after their retirement, they moved to Brownfield, Texas to be closer to their children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Brungardt is survived by her daughter, Teresa Caswell, and son, Thomas Brungardt and fiancé, Anais; grandchildren, Mandy Haire and husband Gregg, Eric Caswell, Kylie Quigley and husband Keith, Alyson Green and husband Sean, and Jessica McCoy and husband Collin along with Jessica’s mother and step-father, Terri and Tom Straitham; great- grandchildren, Chase Caswell and wife Jordyn, Kelsey Caswell, Natalie Caswell, Lexi Haire, Wyatt Haire, Alec Morin, Ryland Morin, Boston Morin, Reece Quigley Dao and husband Hung, A.J. Quigley, Camryn Green, Macy Green, Hudson Green, Taryn McCoy, and Makenna McCoy; sisters, Marilyn Allison and husband Larry, and Ellen Pydyszewski and husband George.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer Brungardt; and brothers, Butch and Russell Hamilton; son-in-law, Gerald Caswell.
