The Cubs edged out the Bobcats in the opening quarter to take a 10-9 lead. Brownfield dominated the second quarter, outscoring the Bobcats 13-2 to take a 23-11 lead heading into the second half. The Cubs’ offense continued their momentum into the third quarter to edge out a feisty Dimmitt offense 13-12 to give Brownfield a 36-23 lead heading into the final quarter. The Cubs sealed the win in the final quarter after outscoring Dimmitt 10-3 for the 46-26 victory. Jojo Carrillo surpassed 1000 points during the win.
