On Friday night around 10:30 p.m. the Lubbock Police Dept. received a call about a man who had been shot at a 7-Eleven convenience store located at University Ave and Marsha Sharp Freeway. According to witnesses, they heard a few people arguing and then a gunshot rang out.

Read moreOn Wednesday, at approximately 4 p.m. Brownfield Fire & Rescue was called out to a two vehicle accident three miles south of Brownfield on FM 403. Bobbie Horn (72) driving a gray/silver 2004 Chevy pick-up failed to yield the right of way as she approached FM 403 from her private drive. She hit the driver side portion of a white 2010 Jeep Commander driven by Shantell Moreno (33) who was heading south on FM 403. Following the collision Horn’s Chevy would come to a stop on the west side shoulder of FM 403. Moreno’s Jeep would come to stop about 70 yards from the initial collision on the west side shoulder of FM 403. Terry County Sheriff’s Dept., BRMC EMS, Brownfield Fire & Rescue and TX DPS responded to the scene. There were no injuries.
