Several years ago, current owner Ramon Holguin took the reigns from his father and gave the restaurant another new name to Platinum H. What a difference 40 years can make.

Read moreOn Wednesday morning the BRMC EMS and Brownfield Fire & Rescue were called out to a two vehicle accident at the intersection of FM 213 and FM 403. According to DPS, the driver of a 2012 red Chevy Cruze, Lena Hildebrand (17) of Terry County failed to stop at a stop sign and was hit by a 2002 black Lincoln LS driven by Angel Rojas Jr. of Brownfield.

According to the Terry County Appraisal District, BRMC lost over $105.8 million in taxable property values of which $104 million was in mineral values. This caused a 10.41% decline in overall values from last year.

This year’s event was somewhat different due to COVID-19 as the backpacks and school supplies were handed out in a drive-thru style, 750 backpacks were given out. Typically Wade Gordon Hairdressing Academy is at the event to give out haircuts, however due to the coronavirus they gave out 400 coupons for free haircuts.
