Read more(Washington, D.C., August 5, 2020) – The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Risk Management Agency (RMA) today announced it will authorize Approved Insurance Providers (AIPs) to extend deadlines for premium and administrative fee payments, defer the resulting interest accrual and allow other flexibilities to help farmers, ranchers, and insurance providers due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Read moreOn Thursday, at approximately 2:14 p.m. Brownfield Fire & Rescue was called out to an accident at the Lubbock Highway (US 62/82) and David Bailey Rd. intersection. A witness, who spoke with TxDPS stated a silver Ford F-150, was heading south in the southbound lane of US 62/82 and turned left at the intersection of David Bailey Rd. Upon crossing onto David Bailey Rd. a 2018 Dodge Challenger, heading north in the northbound lanes of US 62/82, collided with the F-150 on the right front fender, bounced and hit the right side of the bed of the F-150. The Challenger would then spin and come to a rest facing southeast in the south side bar-ditch. The F-150 also came to rest facing south in the south side bar-ditch. BRMC EMS, Brownfield Fire & Rescue, Terry County Sheriff’s Dept., and TxDPS worked the scene of the accident. There were no injuries reported.
