On Wednesday night, the Brownfield Board of Trustees met in a second special meeting to announce the appointment of Edgar Rivera to the Board of Trustees- At Large seat which was vacated when William Hawkins resigned. In the special meeting, Rivera was presented to the board and Tim Swaringen made the motion of approval with Cat Gonzalez seconding.

The board also heard information regarding Resolution No. 20210701 from City Manager Jeff Davis, received an update from the director of streets and sanitation, approved the letter of engagement from Bolinger, Segars, Gilbert & Moss, and extended the disaster declaration.
