Border issues affect everyone in Texas, including Brownfield and Terry County. Brownfield News reporter Justin Pollock visited the border this past weekend to cover the situation regarding Title 42. Title 42 is a Covid health policy implemented by the Trump administration that allows migrants to be expelled from the United States in order to limit the spread of Covid-19. The Biden administration, in tandem with the CDC,was set to end Title 42 on May 23rd. However a Louisiana federal judge ruled that Title 42 must stay in place. The situation on the border is intense. There are hundreds of migrants crossing per day in single locations, some turn themselves into border patrol, others do not. This year approximately two million migrants are expected to enter the United States through the southern border. This issue is affecting all of America and especially Texas.
