(AUSTIN) — Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar is reminding shoppers they can save money on clothes and school supplies during the state’s sales tax holiday on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 5-7.

He told the Brownfield News, “It feels great to bring this event here to Brownfield every year. Our main objective here is to serve the community. That’s what ACES is about, community service. We just try to do things that the community will enjoy or that would be very beneficial like health. All we want to do here at ACES is to make Brownfield a better place to live. We try to give about a dozen scholarships every year and we also have a lot of educational activities for all ages to come out and enjoy.”

She is employed as a Veterinary Technician at the Terry County Vet Clinic. Zack is a 2018 graduate of Mitchell County High School in Bakersville, NC and is currently a Specialist in the United States Army. They will make their home in Killeen, TX.
