Eddie Frank Foshee

Eddie Frank Foshee passed away on December 19, 2020 in Lubbock. He was born on June 12, 1937 in Knox City, Texas to Burton (Red) and Ruth Foshee. Eddie married Sharon Kennedy in Brownfield on March 21, 1959. Eddie was a farmer. He was a founder and partner at Ten-Hi Gin and a proud Navy veteran. He was most proud of his family and loved each one. Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, Burton and Ruth Foshee; two brothers, Garland (Gus) Foshee, Joseph (Joe) Foshee; three brothers in-law, Bill Evans, Weldon Kennedy, and Garry Kennedy. Eddie is survived by wife, Sharon Kennedy Foshee; daughters, Renee Foshee and husband Stan Trull, Amy F. Holmes and husband Ron, Trina F. Morgan and husband Dr. Davis Morgan; sister, Karen Evans; sister in-law, Linda Foshee; grandchildren, Angela Richardson and husband Jason, Nathan Davison, Kinzie Mallott and husband Ben, Josh Randolph, Chris Hunt, Clayton Jay Randolph and wife Whitnie, Capt Shawn Hunt and wife Lara, Hailey Ketchersid and husband Landon, Trent Morgan; greatgrandchildren, Tristyn Richardson and wife Kristen, Taylor, Tucker, Breanne, Avery, Mason, Jack, Harper, Knox, Phoenix Blue, Spencer, Lincoln, Sunnie, Kate, Cora, Kal, Quinn, Tillie and Cotton.

Ofelia Garza

Ofelia went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 17, 2020 due to complications of COVID-19. Ofelia was a devoted member of St. Anthony Catholic church. She was a very loving and happy person. She was ready to go anytime she was invited somewhere. Ofelia loved to crochet and sew, she made quilts with love for all of her grandchildren. She loved her family and was always happy to attend all of her grand-children and greatgrandchildren’s events. She loved to travel to see her family as often as she could. Ofelia (Nana) will be greatly missed. Graveside service for Ofelia Garza, 91, of Brownfield will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at Terry County Memorial Cemetery with Monsignor Gerald Leatham officiating. Visitation will be held from 1pm-8pm with a Rosary to begin at 6pm on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at Brownfield Funeral Home Chapel. Ofelia was born on May 19, 1929, to Eufracio and Paula Huerta in Charco, Texas. She was a teacher’s aide, custodian, and cafeteria employee for Brownfield ISD for 33 years. Ofelia married Agapito Perez Garza on November 11, 1966, in Brownfield. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, parents, and a brother, Jose Cavazos. Ofelia is survived by her daughters, Delma Lira (Louis Lira) of Brownfield and Dellia Munoz (Esteban Munoz) of Lubbock, niece Maryann Perez (Luis Perez) of Alice, 9 grandchildren Louis Lira II, JJ Garza (Veronica Garza), Jacob Lira, Cristal Perez, Maritza Lira, Tina Munoz, Stephanie Munoz, Lorena Munoz, and Linda Munoz; 9 great-grandchildren; 5 sisters, Delfina Morin, Beatrice Juarez, Betty Vera, Julie Hernandez, and Margarita Huerta and 2 brothers, Erasmo Huerta and Pedro Cavazos. Harla Stone James

The family of Harla Stone James will celebrate her life of her 69 years with a private family graveside service at Resthaven Cemetery. Arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield. Harla was born June 19, 1951 in Brownfield, Texas to Harley and Dorothy Stone. She attended Brownfield public schools, and then graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Education. Harla married Alan L. James on March 15, 1980. She had two very special people in her life, Alana, her daughter and Kutter, her grandson. She loved them unconditionally and they will miss her dearly. She taught high school English, History, and Honors classes for 37 years, 35 of those at Anton High School. Her specialty was UIL contest, Literary Criticism and Social Studies. Her teams competed at the state level over 15 times, winning 1st several times. Harla’s passion was reading, she was never seen without her iPad, she was always reading several books at the same time. After retiring from public education, Harla was the secretary at First United Methodist Church in Littlefield. She also taught a Sunday School class there and taught a weekly bible study class for 6 years. She was selected as the Administrative Assistant of The Year for the City of Littlefield, and she served on several State Education Committees and as president of the Texas Hereford Auxiliary. Harla is survived by her husband, Alan L. James of Littlefield, a daughter, Alana Leigh James of Anton and a grandson, Kutter Thomas Thornton, and the hundreds of students lives she touched. She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents. In lieu of flowers, Harla requested memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church in Littlefield, 700 West 14th Street, Littlefield, Texas 79339.
