Lady Broncos earn comeback victory with second-half rally

The Meadow girl’s basketball team used a strong fourth quarter to catch, pass and finally defeat Springlake-Earth, 53-48, in a nondistrict game Tuesday at Meadow. K’Lynn Tarin scored a game-high 32 points to lead the Lady Broncos, with Ciara Villapando adding 11 in the victory. Tatum Goodman had 18 points for Springlake-Earth, with Emma Samaron finishing with 11 in the loss. Springlake-Earth held the lead, 39-30, after three quarters, then watched Meadow dominate the final eight minutes (23-8) to earn the comeback victory.

BHS Band Students perform at Tuba Christmas

On Sunday, December 3, 2023, three members of the Spirit of the Plains, one BHS alumnus, along with Assistant Director Emily Hercules, participated in the 50th annual Tuba Christmas at The Buddy Holly Performance Hall for Arts and Sciences in Lubbock. The Lubbock event, which is one of over 300 Tuba Christmas events held worldwide each December, was sponsored by the Tuba/Euphonium studio and their professor, Dr. Kevin Wass.
