Body Found in Terry County Identified

A chilling scene unfolded Wednesday morning in Terry County as a passerby called the authorities to report a deceased body on Highway 137 six miles south of Brownfield at around 8 a.m. The Terry County Sheriff’s office was on the scene, and several other agencies were called in to assist them, including the Texas Anti-Gang Center Unit Investigators, Terry County SO, Texas Rangers, FBI, ATF, Lubbock Crime Suppression, U.S. Marshals Taskforce, LPD SWAT, LPD FIU, LPD SVU and LPD Major Crimes. The Texas Department of Public Safety and Texas Rangers helped Click and the Terry County Sheriff’s office in their initial response to the scene. The FBI was called in later on to assist with identifying the body. The authorities identified the body as Stacey Williams, 58, of Lubbock.
