Services for Steve Lee Lerma, 47, of Lubbock will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Carter Officiating. Viewing was held on Monday, September 20, 2021 and Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Brownfield Funeral Home Chapel. Steve was born on April 5, 1974 in Brownfield to Louis and Angelita Lerma. He met the love of his life, Barbara Cruz in Brownfield 29 years ago. He loved being surrounded by his family and enjoyed every moment with them, especially his grandkids. He loved his grandbabies more than anything and his time with them was precious. Steve is preceded in death by his wife Barbara Cruz, his grandparents; uncles and in-laws. Steve is survived by daughters, Bethany Lerma and husband Michael Cruz and Brea Subia and husband Mychal; son, Isaiah Lerma; grandchildren, Jazlynn Calderon, Christopher Lerma, Sophia Subia, Mychal Subia, Evahnae Cruz and Peyton Cruz; parents, Louis and Angelita Lerma; brother, Christopher Lerma and wife Jamie; a niece, Emmerson; a nephew, Beau Lerma; uncle Leo and aunt Martha Lerma and numerous cousins.
