AUSTIN — Hunters looking for a new opportunity or a change of scenery this fall are encouraged to check out the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s (TPWD) drawn hunt permits program. Applications are being accepted now for a shot at almost 10,000 permits in 61 hunt categories.

Read moreAfter a string of burglaries in the southern part of Brownfield, the police department took into custody suspect Devin Reed on theft of a firearm related to the burglaries. The burglaries occurred Tuesday morning, June 15 when residents reported stolen personal information, money, and a handgun from their vehicles. Officers and detectives used information from the victims that led to Reed’s arrest.
