Even at an early age, children and teenagers experience moments of being dissatisfied or fed up with school or rules. And people of all ages have unfortunately suffered heartache and anxiousness. Read moreTexas Workforce Commission released the unemployment figures for June and it shows the unemployment rate fell to 6.5 percent in the state but in Terry County, the rate increased. Last month, Terry County had an unemployment rate of 6.4, but according to Workforce Solutions South Plains and Texas Labor Market Information, the county’s unemployment increased to 7.4 percent. Texas Labor Market Information data shows Terry’s employment is 4,338; a civilian labor force of 4,684; and 346 unemployed.

Read moreTexas Comptroller Glenn Hegar released the June sales tax revenue which totaled $3.16 billion. This was an 18.1 percent increase in sales tax revenues from last year and an increase of 10.4 percent from two years ago. The June sales tax is based on sales made in May and remitted to the agency in June. Hegar credits the pandemic from last year for the decrease in sales tax.
