Read moreTerry County Sheriff Timothy Click began an inmate work program on Sept. 22 that includes maintenance work like shredding and mowing county and city property by qualified inmates who have been sentenced to serve time in the Terry County Jail. The program is financially supported through the jail commissary, which also paid for the tractor. Even fuel costs are provided at no cost to taxpayers. Inmates must meet certain guidelines in order to participate in the program, which provides upkeep for the cemetery on 14th St. and for public parks. The service is not available for maintenance of private land.
Read moreRepresenting the Alpha Omega Study Club, Kamryn Murph. Kamryn is the daughter of Michael Murph and Ella Murph and the granddaughter of Jan and Manuel Carrasco. She is a junior at Wellman-Union where she is a member of the Cross County, Track and Golf Teams and a Varsity Cheerleader. She is also involved in UIL, One Act Play and a Dual Credit Student. Kamryn would like to continue her education at Texas Tech University or West Texas A&M University to study Veterinary Medicine. Her favorite memory of Harvest Festival has been bonding and laughing with the girls each week at practice.

Tommy Rosenblad had served as a pastor in Rotan for eight years. Shery Rosenblad previously worked in the Psychology and Counseling Department at Hardin-Simmons University.
