As we welcome cooler weather, the hosting season is upon us. It surprises me a little that I like to entertain so much, as I tend to be a socially anxious person. I know from talking with others that sometimes people can be nervous to host because there are so many things that could go “wrong.” If you find yourself nervous about hosting a dinner party in your space, I encourage you to reframe your approach. Consider hosting an opportunity to flex your creative muscles and be with people you love.

Lubbock Cooper’s certified Adapted Physical Educator, Jeff Key, coordinated the entire event and its activities. 21 Olympic athletes traveled to the field day to participate in different activities that included throwing footballs, kicking soccer balls, playing baseball and several other field day events. The students were assigned to different stations, received a map and had a set amount of time at their stations before rotating to a new one. The field day concluded with a massive dance-off alongside cheerleaders.
