Stephen Hugh Wilbourn

Services for Stephen Hugh Wilbourn,85, of Brownfield will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 27, 2020 in Living Hope Foursquare Church. Due to social distancing, immediate family only will be attending the church service. Officiating will be Reverend Todd Holland. Burial will be in Terry County Cemetery under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home. Friends are welcome to join the family at the cemetery. He was born to the late Joseph Hugh Wilbourn and Winifred McDonald Wilbourn July 10, 1934 in Dallas, Texas. He graduated from Seagraves High School and attended Texas Tech University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He married Susie Jones May 16, 1959 in Seagraves. He retired as a Telephone Engineer with the General Telephone Company and was an active member of the Living Hope Foursquare Church. He was preceded in death by a sister Christine Henry and a grandson. Survivors include his wife, Susie of Brownfield, two sons Mark Wilbourn and wife Danna of Lubbock and Matthew Wilbourn and wife Lynna of Kempner, Texas; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-7 pm, Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Ratliff Funeral Home.

Wellman-Union ISD

Wellman-Union ISD took time to honor and induct the new National Honor Society nominees with a ceremony on Thursday. The new inductees include seniors Tucker Lambert, Suzanna Rempel, and Maverick Walters, and sophomore Madyson Horton. Current NHS students that took part in the ceremony include senior Blake Crowley and juniors Katelyn Besler, Johnathan Wiebe, and Madison White.
