Meadow hoping for first win at homecoming

On Saturday September 19 a couple of hundred people set out to bring awareness to suicide. Stetson Wheatley and Madison Bolt hosted a “Walk to Talk it” event at Coleman Park. The Brownfield community has seen, in recent weeks and months, devastating heartbreak because of suicide. Wheatley felt it was necessary to bring awareness and support to the cause of speaking out about suicide. Thilda Flores, who’s son Justin took his own life in March, spoke about suicide to the crowd before the walk/run began. Tears streamed down the face of almost every person there that morning, realizing this is a subject that must be talked about.
