Summer Track:Off to The Races

It’s an exciting time for the Brownfield community as parents get to watch their young ones excel in sports this summer. There are lots of sports camps hosted by Brownfield varsity coaches this time of year. Brownfield track Coach Valensuala is hosting her fun track camp this summer. It got underway on Tuesday, May 31. The track camp has 6 fun practices in the month of June and at the end of it all has there’s a track meet for everyone to enjoy. The fun part is that Brownfield won’t be the only one at this track meet, multiple schools come together at the end of the camp and hold a track meet to let the participants compete with more than just their peers.

Buffalo Adventure Run

Buffalo Adventure Run, an exciting road rally event that will lead teams of drivers through a series of challenges from Buffalo Gap, Texas to the Four Corners Monument and back, began on June 2. The drivers stopped in Brownfield at the Stripes on Tahoka Road for a pit stop. The event is for a great cause, raising money for Camp Able of Buffalo Gap, an organaziation that provides invaluable theraputic riding services. The first team to make it back home wins the cash prize, all while completing the journey in a $500 car of their choosing.
