Shortly after 3:00 pm on Monday First Responders

Shortly after 3:00 pm on Monday First Responders were called to the scene of what was labeled a multiple vehicle accident on the 500 block of Lubbock Rd. The initial wreck occurred when a 2013 white Mazda collided with a 2020 Ford. The collision then caused a 2016 GMC, who attempted to avoid the accident, to veer into the next lane and strike a 2015 Dodge Ram. The four vehicles suffered moderate damage and were quickly removed from the Highway as traffic began to build up during the busy after school hours. There were no reported injuries from the two separate collisions.

Wellman-Union Junior Swayzee Halarn and her European Steer Tigger placed First at the Fort Worth Stock Show last Friday. Also placing ninth in Fort Worth Stock Show was Jerzee Harlan with her American Steer. Madden Becker, Kross Coleman, Brecken Nelson, Corbin Nelson, and Mason Nelson also exhibited their animals . Representing Brownfield FFA at the Fort Worth Stock Show placing 7th with his barrow was Mike Rodriguez and Placing 12th with her barrow was Grace DeLaO. Terry County Students will compete in the San Antonio Stock Show the week of February 20th, Austin March 9th and 10th and Houston March 15th.
