The Kendrick Memorial Library will be closed on Thursday and Friday. The library will be open on Wednesday, but the closing time is subject to change. The Post Office will be closed on Thursday and reopen Friday. Lone Star State Bank will close at noon on Wednesday and Friday, close all day on Thursday and be open until noon on Saturday (Drive Thru only) Sundown State Bank will be closed on Thursday and reopen from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday. Brownfield Federal Credit Union will close early on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. They will be closed all day Thursday and reopen Friday from 8:30 to noon (drive-thru only). AgTexas Farm Credit Services will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday. They will be closed on Thursday and Friday. Brownfield ISD and Wellman-Union ISD will be closed the week of Thanksgiving. Meadow ISD will be closed on the day of Thanksgiving and the following Friday.

The longest discussion revolved around the agreement with Strategic Government Resources for Executive Recruitment of a new Director of Human Resources as designated in the 2023-2024 fiscal year budget. Council members Kelli Mendez, Celso Duran, J.C Tijerina, Leon Pope, Marshall Martell, Mark Williams and Jimmy Garza were all present on the quorum along with City Manager Jeff Davis, City Secretary Kelly Burris and City Attorney Matt Wade. Mayor Tom Hesse was absent from the meeting.
