On Friday, the Ghost Dance Band provided a free concert and Brownfield hosted a classic car cruise. On Saturday, the festivities continued in Coleman Park with the car show, games, food, prizes, music and vendor booths.

Multiple surgeries were performed from the time Tapia was airlifted to University Medical Center in Lubbock on Sept. 18. Despite the severity of his injuries, family members had remained hopeful for a recovery.
