Billy Ray Jones

Services for Billy Ray Jones, 89, of Brownfield will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Brownfield Funeral Home with Jack Purtell officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p. m. Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Brownfield Funeral Home. Billy went to be with the Lord on October 10, 2021 in Lubbock. He was born on September 13, 1932 in New Home to Spencer and Mary Jones. Billy came from a big family of five brothers and five sisters. He farmed for 69 years in Terry, Gaines and Yoakum counties. Billy married Wanda Burt Jones on May 31, 1952 in Plains. They were married for 66 years and on April 3, 2019 Wanda went to be with the Lord. Billy is preceded in death by his loving wife, Wanda and his parents, Spencer and Mary Jones. Billy is survived by two sons, Rodney Jones and wife Janie, Donny Jones and wife Pat; nine grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
