Betty Jackson February 9, 1936 - May 17, 2020

Funeral services for Betty Jackson will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Brownfield Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Seaton officiating. Burial will follow the service in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. Betty passed away on May 17, 2020, at the age of 84 in Lubbock. She was born on February 9, 1936 in Roby, TX to Alvin and Dessie Hicks. Betty was a geriatric nurse and loved to take care of her “little old people.” She loved nursing so much that she didn’t retire until the age of 80. When she had free time she enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and embroidery. She loved her family, grandchildren and God. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Dessie Hicks, and a sister, Lois Kirkendoll. Betty is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Brock and husband Joe, Susie Jordan and husband Joe; two sons, Bobby Jackson and wife Perri, Darrell Jackson and wife Nancy; four grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
