Service for Manuel Longoria will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at Saint Anthony-Catholic Church with Father Joe Kochuparambil officiating. Burial will follow in the Brownfield Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 pm to 7 pm on Monday, October 1, 2018, at Brownfield Funeral Home. Manuel passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018, in Lubbock. He was born on July 30, 1941, to Sennon and Eulalia Longoria in Floresville. He married Modesta Vargas on January 15, 1971, in Stuart, Florida. Manuel was one of a kind. He was a good father and provider. Manuel was a good farmer and mechanic. Manuel is preceded in death by his parents, Sennon and Eulalia, son, Manuel Longoria Jr., a brother, Victor Longoria, and a sister, Arora Longoria. Manuel is survived by his wife, Modesta Longoria; 3 daughters: Alice Longoria and husband Paul Lopez, Esmeralda and husband Luciano Trejo, and Arora Longoria; son Gilbert Longoria; 5 grandsons, Michael and Hector Trejo, Ricky and Jeremy Lopez, and Richard Longoria; 3 granddaughters, Jazzman, Regina, and Thalia Lopez; 2 great-grandsons, Ian Lopez and Lee Anthony Flores; sister, Mary Lou and husband Charles Chavez; brother, Joe Longoria; 2 nephews, Charles Chaves Jr. and Eddie Chavez.
