MAYA RAE SANTOS

Maya Rae Santos was born on February 23, 2024 to Mark and Shelby Santos, and older sister Elaina. Her family says goodbye on October 8th, 2024.

228 days. 228 days of life, and an immeasurable amount of impact. Maya was an encapsulation of all things happy, a little ‘Rae’of sunshine. She was open and friendly, smiling at everyone she met as though she had just met her new best friend. She was unafraid to grab life with both hands, especially if life came in the form of dessert. Her laugh lit up the room and the faces of the people near her. Everything she touched was changed for the better, and, oftentimes, for the stickier. She was love, she was celebration, she was her family’s busted can of biscuits.

228 days of getting to love on someone as precious and incandescent as our Maya Rae is not nearly enough time, but each and every one of those days will be cherished by everyone for the rest of their lives, until they are able to see that smile and hear that laugh again. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is taken care of in the kingdom of Heaven, and that while she may no longer be with them in person, she lives on in the selfless act of donating what she no longer needed to other children so that they may thrive.

Goodbye Maya Rae, we hope the cupcakes in Heaven are well frosted.

The family will hosted a gathering for friends and family on October 11th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Lake Ridge Chapel.
