Juan “John” Alvarado

Juan “John” Alvarado, 73, beloved Brother and son of the Most High, was called to his eternal resting place on September 2, 2022. He entered this world on May 9, 1949 in Yorktown, TX, born to Benito and Juanita Alvarado. Juan served in the United States Army from July of 1969 until July of 1976. He was an active member at the Assemblies of God “Templo Sinai.”

He is preceded in death by his parents, Benito and Juanita Alvarado.

He is survived by his son, Mark Anthony Alvarado; and 12 siblings, Maria Silva of Brownfield, Linda Ortiz and husband, Augustine of Meadow, Nancy Luera and husband, Victor, of Brownfield, Mary Ann Cruz and husband, Ignacio, of Rockport, Virginia Sandoval and husband, Arnold, of Brownwood, Juanita Alvarado of Brownwood, Benito Alvarado of Brownfield, Bobby Alvarado and wife, Eva, of Tahoka, Leroy Alvarado of Brownfield, Hortincia Alvarado of Brownfield, Jaime Alvarado and wife, Teri, of Lubbock, Belia Rodriguez and husband, Sylvester, of Meadow.

Funeral services for Juan will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Templo Sinai Asambleas with Rev. Raul Gutierrez officiating. Burial will follow in the Brownfield Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Viewing will be 11:00 am to 8:00 pm Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Brownfield Funeral Home.
