Memorial srvice for Tiburcio “Butch” Trevino 94, of Brownfield will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at Brownfield Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Seaton officiating. Tiburcio Trevino, a beloved figure known for his vibrant spirit and unyielding passion for life, was born on August 11, 1930, in Weslaco to Zargosa and Cruz Alavardo Trevino. He departed from this world on September 26, 2024, in Brownfield, leaving behind a legacy of joy and creativity that touched the lives of many. Throughout his life, Tiburcio embraced every moment with enthusiasm. Among his many interests, he found immense pleasure in dancing, where he shared his love for movement and rhythm with friends and family alike. His talent extended beyond the dance floor; he was an accomplished gardener who cultivated beauty in nature, fostering a serene retreat for those fortunate enough to know him. Tiburcio’s woodworking and welding skills reflected his creativity and craftsmanship, allowing him to express his artistic vision through his hands. Tiburcio is preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Trevino; parents; son, Juan “Chipe” Trevino; and daughter, Diana Villarreal. Tiburcio is survived by his children, Dan Trevino, Joe Trevino, Zargosa “Sandy” Trevino, Tiburcio “Timbo” Trevino, Jr., Danna Arteaga, Mary Acevedo, Sylvia Rytter, Grace Dunagan and Irma Gonzales; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Mary Charles, Vicky Moreno, Tina Garcia and Lupe Cuevas.
