Ralph Rodriguez
July 30, 1962 - December 29, 2020
Ralph Rodriguez, an Auto Technician and avid lover of all things family, passed from this life on December 29, 2020 in Dallas, TX at the age of 58. Ralph is survived by his loved ones; Felicia Ann Salas; his daughter, Nadia Loeta Rodriguez; his sisters, Stella Rodriguez, Lisa Estrada, Ofelia Mendez, Lori Rodriguez and brother-in-law Steven Estrada, and his home away from home family, Matt and Priscilla Leal and family, from the Dallas Tortilla Factory, in Dallas TX. He is preceded in death by his father, Antonio Rodriguez; his mother, Mary B. Rodriguez; his brothers, Luis Antonio and Ronnie Rodriguez; and his brother-in-law, Jessie Mendez. Ralph was born in Brownfield, TX on July 30, 1962 to Antonio and Mary B. Rodriguez. He graduated from Howard College in 1983, with a focus on Automation Technology, and spent over 20 years as a dedicated Auto Technician with Goodyear. Ralph was a devoted father, son, brother and friend. A die-hard Cowboys, NHRA Drag racing and Dallas Mavericks Fan. Ralph never shied away from a challenge, and believed that a healthy dose of competition was good for the soul. He was playfully known to most as “Hot-Rod”, a nickname he inherited in high school, for his impressive basketball skills, #22. Family barbecues, listening to music, playing the guitar, having a good time and driving through the big city lights of Dallas, TX, in his 1966 Gold Colored Chevelle, and racing his 1966 Gray Nova, were a few of Ralph’s many pleasures. Ralph’s final wish was to spread his ashes alongside his mother and brother–in-law Jessie Mendez, to spend eternity. A private memorial service will be held for immediate family and close friends at a time, which has yet to be determined. Flowers, donations and condolences may be offered to the family through Lori Rodriguez.
