On November 7, 1939, Peggy was born to Claude and Hontas Davie in Big Spring, TX. She married Wayne Webb on June 7, 1957 in Ackerly, TX. Peggy lost her parents and grandfather at 10 years of age. After marrying Wayne, the love of her life, they settled in the Flower Grove community where she was a famer’s wife, homemaker and mother of 2. “Marmee” dearly loved her family and friends including her church family. If she wasn’t at home, you can be assured to find her either at church, a related church activity, with family or out with friends. A favorite past time was to watch her kids, grandkids and great grandkids play sports. She also enjoyed playing games with her favorites being Scrabble and Boggle. She was highly competitive and usually beat anyone who was brave enough to go against her. “Marmee” had the voice of an angel. She used her singing talent in many weddings and funerals. Her family loved to sit next to her and hear her sing, especially in church. She instilled a love of God and family that will continue to live on through all those who had the joy of knowing her. Survivors include her daughter, Tammi (Ryan) Bell; daughter-in-law, Karla Webb; grandchildren, Crystal (Jason) Perez, Matt (Paige) Bell, Emily (Josh) Smallwood, Kimberly (Kyle) Ware, Laci (Wesley) Higgins, Kenna Logan, Heath (Brandi) Webb; 18 great grandchildren; and brother, Maxie (Faye) Davie; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne Webb; son, Gary Webb; and siblings, Geraldine (Fred) Cook and Edith Davie.
