The family of LaDeane Brown will celebrate her life of 86 years at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at the Trinity Church Chapel. Her family will host a time of fellowship and remembrance from 6:00 PM to 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 11, 2022, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. She passed on Sunday, July 3, 2022. We also ask that you consider viewing her Life Tribute, a video of photographs set to her favorite music. On December 24, 1935, Iva LaDeane was born to Everett and Lenora Jordan in Ada, OK. She married her childhood sweetheart Bennie on May 24, 1952 at Brownfield, Texas, They would have celebrated their 70 th wedding anniversary this year. LaDeane attended school at Meadow and Ropes School Districts. Bennie started his farming career in the Tokio area in 1957 with LaDeane by his side. In 1959, with 3 small children, they moved to the Brownfield area. There Bennie continued farming and LaDeane took care of the home while working the large vegetable garden and canning the bounty. Often she took homecooked meals out to the farm during harvesting season so the men could keep working into the night.

In 2011 they moved to Lubbock to be closer to family and friends. She loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, gardening, canning, and cooking. These were the passions of a life well spent.

Survivors include her children, Candy (Randy) Hall, Terry Brown, Steven (Carolyn) Brown; grandchildren, Russell (Krystal) Hall, Trevor (Lara) Hall, Elizabeth (Lucas) Brown, Andrew (Lindsey) Brown, David (Jackie) Brown, Matthew Brown, Jeremy (Sarah) Brown, Daniel (Audrey) Brown; 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Brown; father, Everett Jordan; mother, Lenora Jordan; brothers, Gerald Jordan; Charles Jordan; Kenneth Jordan; and grandson, Jordan Brown.

The family of LaDeane Brown has designated FOR HER Women’s Medical Services, formerly Heartline, 2309 Broadway, Lubbock, Texas 79401, or the Terry County Cemetery Association, 500 West Main Street, Room 104, Brownfield, Texas 79316, for memorial contributions in her memory.
