Dovie Adams Burda

Dovie Adams Burda, loving mom and grandmother, passed away Monday, October 26, 2020 in Brownfield. She passed peacefully while at her residence surrounded by her family. Dovie was born on August 5, 1941 in Gorman, TX. She graduated from Brownfield High School in 1959. She married Donald Burda on January 31, 1959 in Brownfield, TX. She worked for First National Bank for 20 years. After that she worked for the South Plains Health Department for 21 years. Dovie loved yard work, especially growing and planting her beautiful flowers. She loved to cook and bake all her homemade recipes for her family. Dovie had a very giving heart and helped all people as much as she could. She loved Christmas time the most, seeing her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, visiting and cooking for her family. Dovie is preceded in death by her parents Babe and Delma Adams, her husband Don Burda, and daughter Leesa Burda. Dovie is survived by her daughter, Kathy Murray of San Angelo and son, Jay Burda of Seguin. Along with her children she leaves behind two grandchildren, Shawn Murray and wife Roanna of San Angelo and Kristan Lara of San Angelo. Among her grandchildren, she had three great-grandchildren, Kimber Lara, MJ Lara, and Dylan Murray all of San Angelo.
