Read moreOver the weekend the Brownfield Cub baseball team welcomed the Abernathy Antelopes to town for Military Appreciation Day but unfortunately fell in a tight one in the closing innings 9- 8. Abernathy had an opportunity early to get runs on the board taking advantage of a leadoff walk. Brownfield was able to answer right back in the bottom half of the first as they loaded up the bases with no outs, unfortunately Jonathan Romero grounded into a double play that didn’t result in a run so now there were two outs with runners on second and third.
