Cynthia Ann Tankersley, 90, of Traverse City, Michigan quietly passed away in the early morning of March 22, 2023 at Traverse Manor of natural causes. Cynthia was born in Dallas, Texas to Irene Hunter Black and James Russell Black on April 20, 1932. She grew up in Brownfield, Texas among multiple generations of her maternal family who pioneered the area. It was a rich life spent with her grandmother, many aunts, uncles, cousins and her pony named Paint.

Funeral Services for Mary Ruth Willis, 92, of Brownfield, will be held at 10 am Thursday, March 30, 2023 at the Brownfield Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Chris Seaton. Interment will follow at Terry County Memorial Cemetery. There will be no public viewing, however, the family will have Visitation from 5 pm to 7 pm Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Brownfield Funeral Home.

Lonnie Dwain (Chick) Clark was a man who lived to tell a yarn. He was funny, never met a stranger, and fed every stray animal he could find. Chick passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023, two days after his 90th birthday. A private family service will be held at a later date. He will be laid to rest in the Woodville Cemetery in Tennessee.
