Funeral service for Scarlett Raeyn Villarreal will be held at 2 pm on Monday, March 11, 2024, at Abundant Harvest Community Church. Visitation will be held from 10 am to 8 pm on Saturday and Sunday, March 9 & 10, 2024, at Brownfield Funeral Home. Scarlett passed away on March 3, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 22, 2016, Scarlett brought joy and laughter to all who knew her. Scarlett’s bright spirit and love for life were evident in everything she did. She enjoyed playing with dice and spinners, going on walks, and eating her favorite foods. Scarlett loved attending school and interacting with her cousins, forming cherished memories that will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Scarlett is preceded in death by grandparent, Joe Villarreal; great-grandparents, Joe and Rebecca Villareal; great-great grandparent, Lucia Martinez, Manuel Perez, Jr., Rachel Perez; uncle, Edward Perez and cousin, Jonah Lucio. Graveside service for Dash Wesley Hickson, was held at 2 pm Friday, February 23, 2024, at Terry County Memorial Cemetery with Tommy Rosenblad and Steve Carter officiating. Dash Wesley Hickson was born into this world sleeping on February 19, 2024, at 4:20 pm. He is survived by his parents; Jerry and Laci Hickson, and his big siblings; Dylan Joe and Dawnleigh Marie Hickson. His grandparents, Dale Hancock, Mike and Arlene Hickson. Great-grandma Romelia Hierro and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandpa Leslie Hancock and many great-grandparents. Dash Wesley was already so loved by his little family and close friends. The time we had with Baby Dash was short, but it sure was bitter sweet. He was perfect in every way, looking identical to his big brother and sister. Thick black hair covered his body from head to toe, cutest little button nose, and the most preciously perfect lips. We may not understand why you had to leave this world, but we know that God has you in His arms. No matter what, we will always be your mom and dad, and you will always be our son. Until we hold you again, in Jesus’ arms, you will be.

Tommy Ray Gorby passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Brownfield Regional Medical Center. He was born in Vandalia, IL, on May 3, 1939, but spent most of his life in Brownfield. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Judith; daughter, Pamela Jean and husband, Robert Young; son-in-law, Bobby Newberry; two grandsons, Ray and Kyle Young; two granddaughters, Brandi and husband, Elvis Molina and Brittany Newberry; two sisters Paula Fisher and Brenda Logan; two great-grandchildren, Zayden and Oliver Molina; and two “almost” grandchildren, Braxton and Brynlee and mother, Trish Howard. Tom was preceded in death by his daughter, Diana Lynn Newberry, brothers, Bill and Don Gorby and a sister, Doris Fleming.
