Monday morning, administrators and coaches from around the South Plains converged on the Region 17 Education Service Center to find out where the University Interscholastic League (UIL) would place them in districts. It was a surprise to some. Brownfield ISD Superintendent Chris Smith said, “This year was a little strange because I saw three different projections for BISD. We were anxious to see who would be in our new district and it ended up being that we are familiar with all of the districts we are with.”
