Hannah is a 2007 graduate of BHS, Lubbock Christian University, and the Denver Art Institute. She is employed by Montana Silversmiths as a graphic designer. Daniel is a telecommunications contractor and manages a home repair business. The couple will marry August 1 in Butte, Montana and will make their home in Billings, Montana.

Read moreThe Brownfield City Council met on Tuesday for a budget workshop session. This was the first of about four or five they will have as they get ready to set the budget in September. There was much talk about some budget cuts and savings throughout the hour long meeting and not eliminating any positions. City Manager Jeff Davis said, “This is the first of many budget sessions we’ll have. This meeting was mainly preliminary discussions, kinda where we would like to go with the budget.” There will be at least one more session in July and two more in August, the first one in August will include each department head meeting with the council to discuss capital expenses.

That’s just a little over 12 points before the index shows Terry County in a severe drought. Unlike the KBDI, The United States Drought Monitor already has half of Terry County in a “D2” drought classification or severe drought. Terry County has received 3.17 inches of rain to date, 4.23 inches below average as of the end of June if it does not rain, and the future forecast is grim.
