A federal judge is expected to rule quickly on the constitutionality of a Texas law about to go into effect that institutes new state penalties for illegal border crossings. During a hearing last week, U.S. District Judge David Ezra said he had concerns that other states would follow Texas’ lead in creating their own immigration laws – a power given exclusively to the federal government under the U.S. Constitution.

Both the Public Utility Commission of Texas and the Electric Reliability Council of Texas are urging residents and businesses to voluntarily reduce electricity use as temperatures soar above100 degrees over much of the state. I’m not necessarily a messy person so my house stays fairly clean throughout the year, but when it comes to deep cleaning, I’d rather skip out. For some reason in my mind, if it looks clean, it is clean- unfortunately for me, that is not true. Of course I always feel refreshed after the big annual deep-clean, but getting myself to start is half the battle. Here’s some ways that I have found to get me motivated to start my Spring cleaning.
